Overview and Objective
IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre), in association with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), and Chanakya University – Bengaluru are pleased to announce a short-term domain-specific course focused on training individuals in various aspects of space technology. This initiative aligns with the objective of skill development of Industry and Academia in the Space Sector.
The course provides a comprehensive overview of satellite technology, spanning from its fundamentals to realization. Participants will be equipped with fundamental principles, practical knowledge, and the latest trends in satellite technology.

This unique course covers various essential aspects of satellite technology, including:
- Mission design
- Attitude & orbit control system (ADCS)
- Thermal, structure, and spacecraft mechanism
- Power system and TTC (Telemetry, Tracking, and Command)
- Latest trends in optical & microwave remote sensing, communication, and navigation payloads
- Spacecraft integration & check out activities, including quality & reliability.
The detailed schedule runs across five days (Day 1 through Day 5), preceded by an inaugural session on Day 0 (November 16). Topics covered during the training sessions include Spacecraft Mission Planning and Operations, Structural design and testing, Spacecraft inertial systems design, Thermal Control Systems (including heat transfer and design considerations), Spacecraft Mechanism Systems, Spacecraft Power Systems, TTC and Base Band Systems, System Integration (mechanical and electrical), Spacecraft Checkout Systems, Spacecraft Payload Systems, Onboard Computers, and Reliability and Product Assurance.
